CONNECT AND JOIN is a one-of-a-kind secure Internet portal where families share their lives during deployment or separation by building their own "life at home" on personal websites using newsletters, photos, and a calendaring system sharing the daily life back home. This communications and activities-based system offers all the software necessary on the portal.

These websites are edited by a family editor, and are not available to the public at any time, and feature no advertising, pop-up ads or spam. CONNECT AND JOIN does not sell, rent, or share email addresses or any part of its business data, and follows OPSEC guidelines, providing the same level of security used for banking and financial transactions (SSL).

CONNECT AND JOIN is offered on a subscription basis to all current and retired service members and their families. Each paid subscription provides 5 user pass codes which include the deployed soldier or traveling family member, a family editor who controls the pass codes, and three other friends or family members.
